Put some cotton balls in the mixture and let it soak for few seconds. Once the cotton balls are soaked up put them in all the entrance points of carpenter ants and in front of their nests.
This bait will lure them to come toward it which they will consume for sure because the amount of sweet is more than the amount of borax so they would not feel borax in it. Within 1 to 2 days of their consumption carpenter ants would die.
Put any sweet stuff on all the entrance points of carpenter ants and near the nest of carpenter ants which will be an open invitation for these ants, make sure when they come near to the sweet food it’s their entire colony.
Then spray the borax on them generously making sure it reaches every single carpenter in colony. Within 1 to 2 days they will die because borax doesn’t go well with the digestion system of ants.
